SUBJECT: LOUZANA FULTZ

"I found out that LOUZANA FULTZ's mother was named RUTH MEYERS. I believe she was a Cherokee and her husband was Scotch-Irish.

"Here's some family stories I may have not told you:

"LOUZANA Cut her hand grabbing at a Union soldier's arm who was cutting up a feather bed.

"LOUZANA went with Dr. Winfield Poinor to interpret with the Indian patients.

"LOUZANA wore a bonnet in the day and a nightcap at night when she was older. She was a short little lady.

"The BELLs and FULTZes came together in Arkansas from in or near McMinnville, Warren County, Tn.

"FRANK BELL carried mail from Harrison to Prairie Grove on horseback.

"MARTHA JANE (SISCO) BELL died of complications from childbirth (of Cora Lee Bell) and LOUZANA moved in with FRANK BELL & helped him raise the kids.

"CLAY, PLEAS and EARL BELL all worked around lead smelters in Joplin and around spraying of apple orchards. All died young of lead poisoning and/or bad lungs.

"LOUZANA was supposed to have talked a lot to CHARLIE BISHOP's wife in Indian (probably Cherokee)." (Note from L.Bishop: We have record of Charlie Seaburn Bishop who married Marinda Coker Sneed. Both Coker and Sneed families were of INDIAN descent. There is a lady in LaPorte,Texas that I am in contact with who descends from both COKER and SNEED families and gave me the information on CHARLES SEABURN BISHOP and "Rindy" Coker Sneed.)
